Behind the Woodshed

The original Woodshed was created in 1994 as a requirement that we had as America Online Tech Live Assistants. They were about to offer web space to their users and they wanted us to beta-test their system.

It started innocently enough, but soon grew into a behemoth with scores of pages about scores of subjects. At its high point, it was getting 100,000 hits a day!

​

The "Shed" plugged along for 15 years until I bought a house and ran out of time and money to operate it. I shut the site down in July of 2009 and since then, I have used other outlets such as Facebook, Flickr, Capture Minnesota and Pinterest to display my wares.

Now, seven years later, I have decided to revive the old girl. Much has changed on the internet since the inception of the original "Shed." A site designed to help the "newbie" learn a little about the World Wide Web is probably not going to fly in 2017. I will keep and enhance a lot of the content I had on the site, but no more pages of links and tutorials. Minnesota will be the main focus, and eventually there will be a blog as well.
